Sapphire Nursing and Rehab at Goshen, a premier skilled nursing facility in Orange County, New York, has immediate openings for enthusiastic CNAs to join our Overnight Shift Team.

Under supervised guidance, CNAs provide direct nursing care to residents and assist with personal needs and comforts, contributing to a meaningful life for our residents.

Qualifications

• Current NY CNA Certification.
• Previous Long Term Care experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports all observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order.
• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.
