Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents activities on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights promptly.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports observations to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Makes beds and keeps resident units clean.
• Prepares room for housekeeping after discharge
