Job summary

Sapphire Nursing and Rehab at Goshen in Orange County, New York, seeks enthusiastic CNAs to join our Overnight Shift Team. Under supervised professional guidance, CNAs provide direct nursing care to residents and assist with their personal comfort needs, ensuring dignity and quality of life.

We offer a competitive salary, a $600 sign-on bonus paid in quarterly installments after the 90-day probation, a full benefits package, PTO, a pension, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current NY CNA Certification is required.
• Previous Long Term Care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports observations to Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Makes beds and keeps resident units clean and orderly.
• Prepares room for housekeeping after discharge.
