Job summary

Good Samaritan Canistota Center seeks a Medication Assistant (MA) to deliver resident-centered care under a nurse's supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and help with meals, mobility, and documentation, while ensuring safety and compassionate care.

The role includes administering medications as delegated, participating in programs, and supporting residents’ wellbeing. Shift is 6:00 am - 2:30 pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Must obtain CMA/TMA certification as required by state.
• Active CNA registration in state of practice or ability to obtain within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, meals, and dining experiences.
• Support wellness and recreational activities and assist with documentation.
