Job summary

Good Samaritan Canistota is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living support under a charge nurse. You will assist with bathing, dressing, meals, and documenting vital signs, while maintaining dignity and safety for each resident.

Administer prescribed meds as delegated, monitor responses, and communicate changes to the charge nurse. The role includes participation in wellness programs and daily access to earnings, with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CMA certification required with state Board of Nursing where applicable.
• If CMA/CNA certification is not current, must obtain within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care, medication administration, and vital signs.
• Assist with transferring, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Support wellness and recreational activities and assist with meals.
