Job summary

Good Samaritan Canistota is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will support basic health needs and contribute to a positive dining experience for residents.

The role requires CNA certification with state-specific CMA/TMA training where applicable. Full-time day shift, with every other weekend/holiday rotation; comprehensive benefits and daily earnings access are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 18; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Maintain yearly continuing education credits as required by state.
• CMA/TMA certification as required by state practice.
• Active CNA registration or ability to obtain within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated and document outcomes.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, housekeeping and recreational activities.
