Job summary

Good Samaritan Canistota is seeking a dedicated Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living support under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will administer medications, monitor vitals, and assist with activities of daily living to enhance residents' quality of life.

The position requires valid CNA and CMA/TMA certifications where applicable, with state-specific requirements. A driver’s license may be needed for certain duties and shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Active CNA/CMA certification as required by state.
• Ability to obtain CMA/TMA within 120 days where applicable.
• Must meet state requirements for CMA/CNA as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by licensed nurses.
• Record vital signs, care notes, and respond to changing conditions.
• Support with meals, hygiene, mobility, and therapeutic activities.
