Job summary

Emanate Health in California seeks a skilled Medical Coder to abstract clinical data from inpatient and outpatient records for billing and reimbursement.

You will follow established coding guidelines, review documentation for accuracy, and support regulatory compliance. CCS certification required.

Strong Excel/computer skills, 1–3 years coding experience, and knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, MS-DRG and APR-DRG are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred with medical terminology and anatomy coursework.
• Experience with medical coding systems and data abstraction.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Sign and sequence diagnostics/procedural codes to inpatient and outpatient records.
• Ensure accuracy for billing, reimbursement and data retrieval.
• Review documentation to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
