Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a qualified Coder to assign and record accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for diagnoses and procedures from physicians' notes. You will ensure proper DRG factors, contact providers for clarification, and enter coded data into the hospital’s automated grouper system.

The role requires CCS certification and a strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, with at least one year of inpatient coding experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CCS certification required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Code all diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Ensure accurate DRG assignment and ranking of diagnoses.
• Abstract information and enter data into hospital systems.
