Job summary

Capital Health Medical Group seeks a skilled Medical Coder to review and assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes for professional claims across hospital and outpatient procedures. You will ensure accuracy with AMA and CMS conventions and support documentation integrity.

Requirements include CPC-A/CPC/CCS-P certifications and 2 years of physician coding experience;Associate degree in health information management preferred. Training with multiple EMR systems is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CPC-A/CPC/CCS-P certification required.
• Associate's degree in health information management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes for professional claims.
• Apply AMA and CMS coding conventions and rules for codes and modifiers.
• Review documentation to ensure accurate E/M codes.
• Collaborate with billing, charge review and revenue integrity teams.
• Identify documentation gaps and escalate for clarification.
