Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work with the primary care physician, support patient care, and update health records within state guidelines. The CMA will measure vital signs, organize treatment rooms, and perform related clerical duties to ensure smooth clinic operations.

The position requires an active CMA certification and a High School degree or GED. Prior clinic experience is preferred; BLS may be required at hire.

Qualifications

• Problem-solving skills and basic computer skills are required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to engage with staff and patients professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by greeting patients and visitors.
• Prepares and reviews patient charts, verifies tests and reports.
• Measures vital signs (pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height).
• Performs clerical duties: inventory, referrals tracking, phone coverage.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
