Mercy Health in Defiance, OH is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinic team. The CMA will work with the primary care physician to deliver patient care, review health records, measure vital signs, and prepare exam rooms.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED
• Active CMA certification (or equivalent)
• BLS/CPR required at hire (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and the community in a respectful manner
• Prepares & reviews patient charts for upcoming visits, verifying diagnostic tests and reports
• Measures vital signs: pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight and height
• Performs clerical duties: inventory, referrals, phones
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems promptly
• Other duties as assigned
