Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to work closely with the primary care physician, reviewing and updating health records, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms for examinations.

You will greet patients, support clerical tasks, and help maintain smooth clinic operations. A High School diploma and CMA certification are required, with ABR-OE acceptable if MA cert is not obtained.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active CMA/MA certification preferred; ABR-OE acceptable if MA cert not obtained (not in SC).
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Prepare and review patient charts, verify diagnostic test results and records.
• Measure vital signs including pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory checks, tracking referrals, and answering phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly; support department as needed.
