Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the primary care physician in delivering patient-centered care. You will review and update health records, measure vital signs, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.

The role requires an active CMA/CCMA/RMA or ABR-OE acceptable certification, BLS, and at least a high school diploma. Competitive benefits and supportive team culture are provided.

Qualifications

• One year of medical assistant healthcare experience (preferred)
• Two years of clerical experience in a physician's office (preferred)
• Active Medical Assisting certification from an approved body or ABR-OE acceptable per policy (depending on state)
• BLS Basic Life Support certification is required or preferred depending on location

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide courteous service
• Prepare and review patient charts for visits, verify diagnostic tests and records
• Measure vital signs including pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory checks, referrals tracking and phones
• Assist with examination rooms and equipment, troubleshoot issues as needed
