Southcoast Health System, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant - Certified to join our Wareham, MA team. This full-time role supports providers, prepares patients, and helps maintain efficient clinic flow in the Surgery department.

Day shift, 8:30am–5:00pm, 40 hours per week, with a $3,500 new hire sign-on bonus. The position requires a Medical Assistant program completion or equivalent experience, BLS, and EMR proficiency; multilingual abilities and prior EMR experience are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with specialized courses.
• National certification within 13 months (AMCA/AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NCMA).
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• BLS certification is required.
• EMR or health-related software experience preferred.
• 1 year medical assisting experience preferred.
• Second language/medical interpreting preferred.
• Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsabilités

• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Facilitate efficient patient flow through the clinic or medical office.
• Handle telephone communications with patients (test results, schedules, follow-up).
• Utilize an EMR and related software to update/access patient information.
• Provide medical interpretation as needed.
