Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. in Fall River, MA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join its clinic team. This full-time role offers a 40-hour work week, day shifts, and a $3,500 new hire sign-on bonus.

You will support providers, manage patient flow, use EMR software, and ensure patient privacy. BLS and MA program completion are required; bilingual skills are a plus. We offer competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus specialized courses and training.
National third-party certification (AMCA, AAMA, AMT, CCMA, or NCMA) within 13 months of hire.
Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent medical office experience.
BLS certification is required.
Experience with EMR or health-related software preferred.
1 year of medical assistant experience preferred.
Fluent in a language other than English with medical interpreting preferred.
MA Certificate Program and BLS certifications are required.
Basic computer skills and ability to take manual blood pressure.
Strong customer service is essential.

Responsibilities

Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
Facilitate efficient patient flow through the clinic or medical office.
Handle telephone communications with patients including test results and schedules.
Use EMR to update/access patient information while protecting privacy.
Provide language interpretation when needed.
