Southcoast Health in Swansea, MA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join Primary Care. Under supervision, you will support providers, assist with patient care, and help maintain smooth clinic flow to deliver high-quality care close to home.

Requirements include a Medical Assistant program completion, national certification within 13 months, BLS, EMR experience, and a willingness to interpret languages if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with specialized training.
• Certification within 13 months of hire as a non-certified Medical Assistant.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent practice experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with EMR or health-related software preferred.
• 1 year medical assisting experience preferred.
• Fluent in another language and medical interpreting preferred.
• Vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption required.

Responsabilités

• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic or medical office.
• Communicate test results, surgery schedules, and follow-up instructions to patients.
• Use EMR and related software to update/access patient information while protecting privacy.
• Provide medical interpretation if needed.
