Job summary

Southcoast Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for the OBGYN clinic in Wareham, MA. The role supports providers, assists with patient care, and helps maintain efficient clinic flow. A 40-hour day shift schedule is offered with a $3,500 new hire sign-on bonus for this position.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school or equivalent plus specialized courses and training.
• National third-party certification such as AMCA, AAMA, AMT, CCMA, or NCMA required within thirteen months of hire as a non-certified Medical Assistant.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program, or equivalent medical office practice experience.
• BLS certification is required.
• Prior EMR experience preferred.
• One year of medical assisting work experience is preferred.
• Fluent in a language other than English and Medical Interpreting is preferred.
• Vaccination against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic or medical office.
• Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and related software to update and access patient information while protecting privacy.
