Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus specialized courses and training.
• National third-party certification required within 13 months of hire.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• BLS certification required.
• EMR/health IT experience preferred.
• One year medical assistance experience preferred.
• Language skills beyond English and medical interpreting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Facilitate efficient patient flow through the clinic.
• Communicate test results and schedules to patients.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in EMR use.
