Job summary

Southcoast Health, a not-for-profit health system in Southeast Massachusetts, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the OB/GYN practice in Wareham, MA. The role supports providers with patient care, procedures, and EMR documentation in a day-shift setting (8:30am-5:00pm) for 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• National certification required within 13 months of hire (AMCA/AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NCMA).
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.
• One year medical assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Ensure efficient patient flow through the clinic or medical office.
• Communicate test results and schedules to patients as directed.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
