Job summary

Southcoast Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Primary Care site in Middletown, RI. You will assist providers, support patient flow and maintain privacy while using EMR systems to update records. A bilingual capability is preferred, with a focus on delivering quality care.

The role requires completion of a CMA program or equivalent, BLS, and applicable certifications. The position offers a day shift (8:15am–4:45pm) and a $3,500 new-hire sign-on bonus for eligible hires.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent office practice experience.
• One year of medical assistant experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Fluent in a language other than English; medical interpreting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical assisting duties under supervision in the clinic and support the assigned Medical Office.
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures; ensure efficient patient flow.
• Handle telephone communications including test results, schedules and follow-up instructions.
