Southcoast Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Primary Care practice in Wareham, MA. The role supports providers, manages patient flow, and communicates test results and schedules, while maintaining patient privacy in an EMR environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of four years high school or equivalent with specialized courses/training.
• National third-party certification (AMCA, AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NCMA) within 13 months of hire.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• BLS certification required.
• EMR experience or health-related software experience preferred.
• 1 year of medical assisting experience preferred.
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccination per policy or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Help manage patient flow in the clinic or medical office.
• Handle telephone communications with patients for test results, schedules, and follow-up.
• Use EMR and related software to update/access patient information while maintaining privacy.
