Job summary

UNC Health Lumberton is seeking a Nursing professional to provide care to clinic patients under supervision. The role involves nursing assessments, care planning, patient education and discharge planning as delegated by the RN or physician.

You will also handle clerical duties, update medical records, greet patients, schedule appointments and assist with billing tasks to support a seamless patient experience in the clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant course with current certification.
• Current BCLS certification; recertification required every 2 years.
• Preferred: at least 1 year in a customer service setting, preferably healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to clinic patients under supervision of a Mid-Level Provider or Physician.
• Assist with patient care, clerical tasks, and discharge planning as delegated.
• Prepare and update patient medical records, greet patients, and schedule appointments.
• Assist with entering charges and posting receipts; communicate information to patients about clinic services.
