UNC Health Medical Group in Nashville, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant I, Certified to provide routine clinical and administrative support in an outpatient clinic. You will work under the supervision of a provider for patient care and under a manager for non-clinical tasks.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, collecting vitals and history, assisting with procedures, and maintaining exam rooms. Certification and BLS are required; MA experience preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program is strongly preferred but not required.
• Requires Medical Assistant certification by one of several national bodies (AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NRCMA, NCMA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required.
• Prior medical assistant experience or externship is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Room patients and collect vital signs, height and weight.
• Collect patient history and medications.
• Assist provider during treatments and procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and administer medications as directed.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms; maintain supplies and instruments.
• Assist with registration, scheduling, and referrals.
