CHI Health Clinic in Omaha, NE seeks a Medical Assistant / CMA to provide compassionate, high-quality care at the 132nd & Center Family Medicine Clinic. You will take vitals, prepare patients, collect specimens, and assist with vaccines and medications as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Candidates must graduate from ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited program and hold CMA/RMA/NCMA certification, plus BLS. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient outcomes with a sign-on bonus and education

Formación

• Graduates from ABHES/CAAHEP accredited medical assisting programs.
• Current CMA/RMA/NCMA certification or recognition required.
• Completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or equivalent.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsabilidades

• Performs general patient care following clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients, records vitals, allergy info, meds, and visit reasons.
• Collects and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides medications and vaccines as ordered.
• Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) located at our 132nd & Center Family Medicine Clinic, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Expectations

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Pay Range

$18.96 - $26.78 /hour
