Job summary

Hussmann is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Technician to maintain, diagnose and repair supermarket refrigeration systems and related equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, inspect for leaks, replace components, and document service tickets with accuracy, while communicating clearly with customers.

Required EPA 608, a valid driver’s license, and 5 years in the field or 3 years with technical school certification.

Qualifications

• 5 years in the field or 3 years with Certification from a Technical School.
• 1 year as a Qualified Technician with completion of OJT & Skills Assessment.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License and maintain a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed, routine maintenance on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained merchandisers.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems with supervision.
• Document work tickets and time sheets accurately and promptly.
• Maintain truck inventory and adhere to vehicle maintenance guidelines.
• Develop customer relations and clearly articulate equipment malfunctions.
• Understand basic electrical schematics and TEV troubleshooting.
