Job summary

Hussmann is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain supermarket refrigeration systems and merchandisers. Join a nationwide team that provides hands-on training, performance bonuses, and a company vehicle.

Requirements include a valid driver's license, strong mechanical aptitude, EPA 608 Universal Certification, and willingness to work nights or weekends as needed. Training and advancement opportunities are available across the Hussmann network.

Qualifications

• Formal Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• HVAC-R technical school degree preferred.
• External candidates: 7 years in the field or 5 years with certification; internal: 3 years as Certified Technician.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained merchandisers.
• Diagnose issues, match customer needs with service opportunities, and perform rapid/accurate diagnoses.
• Manage truck inventory, order and bill parts, and maintain vehicle and paperwork.
• Utilize hand-held device for invoicing and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Identify pipe sizes, perform refrigerant and oil conversions, and braze/solder as required.
• Troubleshoot thermostatic expansion valves and pressure regulators; work with CO2 systems preferred.
