Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to deliver specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in outpatient settings. You will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, fabricate custom orthoses, and supervise OT staff and students.

The role emphasizes collaboration with hand surgeons and a broad interdisciplinary team, with opportunities to educate residents and contribute to clinical education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Direct and supervise OT assistants, students, and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom hand/upper-extremity orthoses and splints.
• Treat postoperative and injury rehabilitation including scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
