Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder in outpatient settings. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, fabricate custom orthoses, and lead hand therapy sessions with a collaborative care team.

Responsibilities include supervising therapy assistants and students, documenting services, and participating in interdisciplinary care planning.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in OT or PT; DPT or MOT preferred.
• Experience in upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy.
• Current state OT or PT license; CHT credential is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
