Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder within our outpatient setting. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized recovery plans, and fabricate custom orthoses while educating patients on orthosis care.

The role involves supervising staff and collaborating with hand surgeons and therapists to optimize patient outcomes, including post-surgical rehabilitation and return-to-work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or OT preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy experience.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential; CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.
• Document delivery of OT/PT services.
• Direct and supervise OT assistants, students, and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and educate on custom orthoses and splints.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; scar management and edema control.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedics, and other healthcare professionals.
