Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. The role focuses on patient evaluation, custom splinting, and recovery planning within a collaborative rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities include assessments, therapeutic interventions, orthotic fabrication, and coordination with hand surgeons and PT/OT colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in OT/related field.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students, and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, postoperative cases.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
