Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. The role includes patient evaluation, custom splinting, and developing recovery plans.

You will collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care, document outcomes, and mentor staff in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctoral degree in OT or PT preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedists, and other health professionals.
