Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Core duties include patient evaluation, custom splinting, and developing recovery plans.

You will collaborate with hand surgeons and therapists, supervise assistants, fabricate orthoses, and manage post-surgical rehabilitation, edema, scar management, and return-to-work programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (DOT) preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehabilitation experience.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Document Delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear and care.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, therapists, and other professionals.
