Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to lead upper-extremity rehabilitation, including assessment, splint fabrication, and collaborative care with hand surgeons.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with OT/PT credentials, 3+ years of outpatient experience, and a valid license in the state. CHT and CPR/BLS are preferred; strong mentoring and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or OT degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy experience.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential; CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, therapists; participate in care planning.
