Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a seasoned Hand Therapist with a focus on upper-extremity rehabilitation to join our therapy team. The role involves evaluating patients, developing customized recovery plans, and fabricating orthoses for the hand and upper extremity.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with preference for Doctorate in PT or OT, plus current state licensure and CHT credential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OT Assistants and students.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, PTs, and other professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
