Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to lead specialized hand/upper-extremity rehabilitation. The role includes patient evaluation, custom splinting, and comprehensive recovery planning in outpatient settings.

Responsibilities cover orthotic fabrication, post-surgical rehab, and collaboration with hand surgeons and therapists. A bachelor's degree is required; CHT credential and CPR/BLS are needed for continued practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or OTD preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation/outpatient therapy.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand/upper-extremity.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; provide scar management, edema control, wound care, return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals; participate in interdisciplinary planning.
