Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to lead hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation. You will evaluate, design recovery plans, fabricate custom orthoses, and educate patients on orthosis wear.

The role includes supervision of OT staff, collaboration with surgeons and other clinicians, and delivering comprehensive postoperative and injury rehabilitation. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab, holds a state PT or OT license, and a CHT credential,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for upper-extremity conditions.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints; educate patients on orthosis use.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative rehab; provide scar management, edema control, wound care, return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals; participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
