Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to deliver specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and implement custom splints and orthoses.

The role includes supervising therapy staff, coordinating with surgeons and clinicians, and guiding post-surgical rehab and education for patients. A Bachelor’s is required with a CHT credential and active PT/OT licensure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
DPT/OTD preferred for advanced practice.
Graduate of accredited OT program.
Current state PT or OT license.
Certified Hand Therapist credential.
CPR/BLS certification currently held.

Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing assessments and plan of care for hand/upper-extremity patients.
Provide therapeutic interventions suitable for age and disability levels.
Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
Direct and supervise assistants, students, and support personnel.
Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for upper-extremity conditions.
Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
Treat post-surgical and injury rehab for orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve injuries.
Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, and other therapists for care planning.
