Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to lead specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and fabricate custom orthoses to optimize function.

You will supervise OTAs and students, collaborate with hand surgeons and other clinicians, and provide comprehensive post-surgical and injury rehab including scar management and return-to-work strategies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy
• Current state PT or OT license
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with orthotic fabrication and post-surgical rehab

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluation and establish plan of care
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services
• Directs and supervises OTAs, students and support personnel
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions
