Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehab for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, design custom orthoses, and lead recovery plans in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, collaborating with surgeons and therapists, and delivering comprehensive therapy from assessment to return-to-work goals. A strong credential and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or DOT preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate initial and ongoing patient condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability of the patient.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions; educate patients on wear and care.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other health professionals; participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
