Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Oklahoma is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, design custom splints, and develop recovery plans to restore function and independence.

Key duties include supervising assistants, fabricating orthoses, managing post-surgical rehab, and collaborating with hand surgeons and therapists to coordinate interdisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish care plan.
• Provide hand therapy interventions as appropriate.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OTAs, students, and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom hand/upper-extremity orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative rehab.
• Coordinate with hand surgeons and other clinicians.
