Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Oklahoma is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to deliver advanced rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. You will assess patients, develop individualized recovery plans, fabricate orthoses, and lead care teams to optimize outcomes.

The role requires 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab, an OT or PT license, and a CHT credential, with a bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential; CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OTAs, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
