Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder in an outpatient setting. You will perform patient evaluations, develop recovery plans, and fabricate or adjust custom orthoses.

The role requires 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab, a bachelor’s degree, and current state PT or OT licensure with CHT. CPR/BLS certification is also expected; opportunities exist for professional growth within the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehabilitation experience.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and disability.
• Directs and supervises activities of OTAs, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• TREAT patients with orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehabilitation as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, PTs, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
