Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. The role focuses on patient evaluation, custom splinting, and recovery planning within an outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience, holds a current PT or OT license, and may possess a CHT credential along with CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential; CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of OT/PT services; coordinate care.
• Directs and supervises activities of OTAs, students, and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand/upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; provide scar management and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, PTs, and other healthcare professionals; participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
