Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and supervise OT staff, while designing and fitting custom splints for upper-extremity conditions.

Responsibilities include orthotic fabrication, post-surgical rehab, edema control, and collaboration with surgeons and therapists. CPR/BLS and CHT credential required; growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Direct and supervise OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand/UE.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other health professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehabilitation needs; scar management, edema control, wound care, return-to-work rehab.
