Job summary

Oak Haven Rehab and Nursing Center seeks a Certified Dietary Manager to lead the daily operations of the foodservice department in a skilled nursing setting. You will oversee menu development, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and staff supervision to meet high-quality meal standards for residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Dietary Manager’s Program (2-year or 4-year foodservice program).
• Successful completion of CDM Credentialing Exam with active certification status.
• 2 years’ experience in foodservice management.
• Skill in motivating, coaching, and supervising foodservice personnel.
• Current awareness of legislation and regulations influencing standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement menus that meet nutritional needs and ensure quality.
• Order, receive, and store food in compliance with regulations.
• Ensure food is prepared using safe and sanitary methods.
• Monitor kitchen operations, including cleaning and maintenance.
• Manage departmental budgets, analyze food costs, adjust menus to stay within budget.
• Supervise and train staff in food handling, preparation, service, and sanitation.
• Maintain accurate meal counts and food cost reports.
• Interact with patients/residents and families to address dietary needs.
• Develop and implement dietary department policies and procedures based on standards.
