• Completion of an accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology, or 18 months of Sterile Processing experience.
• Ability to float across all UCI Health locations as needed.
• Knowledge and practice of infection control techniques and medical terminology.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies and equipment for the department.
• Charge, log service, and bill for OR-related items as required.
• Perform daily biological testing.
• Participate in department and center-wide performance improvement projects as requested.
