UCI Health seeks a Central Sterile Tech to perform decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies and equipment used throughout the hospital and affiliated clinics. The role also handles charging, logging of service, and patient charges for the OR.

You will perform daily biological testing, participate in department and center-wide performance improvement projects, and float across all UCI Health locations as needed to ensure consistent sterile processing standards.

Qualificações

• Successful completion of an accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology or 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience
• Must float across all UCI Health locations as needed
• Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsabilidades

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment for the department across the hospital and clinics
• Charge, billing, and logging of service as well as OR patient charges
• Perform daily biological testing
• Participate in department and center-wide performance improvement projects
