Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Central Sterile Tech to join our team, responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies for the hospital and clinics. You will also assist with charging, logging of services and patient charges for the OR, and perform daily biological testing.

The role requires completion of an accredited Sterile Processing program or 18 months related experience, ability to float across locations, and willingness to work variable shifts including

Qualifications

• Requires completed accredited school of Sterile Processing or 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience.
• Ability to float across UCI Health locations as needed.
• Knowledge of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment for hospital and clinics.
• Charge, log service activities and patient charges for the OR.
• Perform daily biological testing and participate in improvement projects.
