Job summary

Jewish Family Service of Colorado is seeking a central intake specialist to support the Boulder community resources team. This full-time, temporary role handles intake, information and referrals, and greets callers and walk-ins, directing them to appropriate JFS programs to meet their needs.

The position requires strong communication, bilingual English-Spanish, and solid computer skills. You will assess eligibility, create client records, and collaborate with program staff to ensure smooth

Qualifications

• One to three years of relevant education or experience preferred.
• Two to three years’ direct services experience: intake, assessment, information and referral, crisis intervention preferred.
• Strong computer skills including databases, Word, Excel, email, Internet.

Responsibilities

• Responds to inquiry voicemails and emails and walks-ins.
• Provides contact information for JFS services.
• Completes initial and secondary assessments as requested.
• Determines income and eligibility for services.
• Creates client records and referrals in the client database.
• Collaborates with program coordinators to refer and integrate clients.
